Enforce rules in the Cloud

Statik Enclave works on an edge layer; its rules are executed before visitors can reach your web server where WordPress is located. Denied visitors will not be able to inspect your website technology.

Combine with Statik Identity

Statik Enclave rules can be combined with Statik Identity, so only authenticated users with specific permissions will be allowed to see the website, not exposed to third parties. This approach is particularly useful in staging environments.

Filter inbound traffic

Statik Enclave allows you to filter inbound traffic based on a variety of factors. With the dedicated rules builder, it is possible to create advanced rulesets to define exactly who can visit your website.

Reduce attacks

Based on a configuration, you can protect your WordPress instances from crawling or automated vulnerability scans. Your website will remain a blind spot on an Internet map.

Adjust rules to your needs

The CLI Statik Dashboard includes an Identity Provider feature, which can be used for all WordPress instances hosted within the platform. User management is controlled at platform level, and a regular WordPress login is replaced with a Statik unified gateway.

Frequently Asked Questions

Statik Enclave operates in conjunction with a Web Application Firewall, functioning directly at the network’s edge. It enables the integration of customized, context-specific rules, which serve to restrict certain user segments from accessing the website, ensuring they do not reach the origin server.

Statik Enclave is embedded in the CDN network at the network’s edge, ensuring that filtered traffic does not burden the server. In contrast, WordPress security plugins become active at a later stage in the request processing lifecycle. This means they may not filter traffic as efficiently, still utilize server resources, and do not provide protection against DDoS attacks.

Upon activation of Statik Enclave for a vanity domain (a domain not used for production), it permits access to users who have been added to a specific environment.

Statik Enclave allows for the configuration of additional rulesets, providing the ability to explicitly block access, override existing protections, or permit traffic from particular visitor segments. Segments can be defined based on specific criteria such as IP address, IP range, User Agent, or a predefined header. Moreover, segments can include verified Statik Identity users, facilitating access management for employees or freelancers associated with the company.

Yes, Statik Enclave offers comprehensive protection across the entire environment. Additionally, its granular configuration capabilities allow for the safeguarding of specific paths within a WordPress instance, adding an extra layer of security.
